Kathy VandeMotter Carney specializes in residential homes in M Streets, Lakewood, Park Cities, Preston Hollow, and surrounding areas. She was born and raised in Chicago , then graduated from Denver University with a BSBA in Marketing. While attending college she held several jobs including her own catering business and working on a dry-dude ranch in Wyoming. Upon graduating, she worked for General Binding Corporation for a few years prior to moving back to Chicago. She relocated here 27 years ago from Traverse City and Northville, Michigan. She has raised 3 wonderful children( Kelley, Peter and Murphy VandeMotter) in Preston Hollow, University Park, and now in the M Streets area. All of Kathy's children have graduated from college, 2 from Denver University, and 1 from Oklahoma University. Kelley is a real estate agent in Denver, Peter, in NYC with a start up Social Media Influencer company. Murphy is in Chicago in the Social Media space as well.

Having relocated many times prior to moving here, Kathy understands the stress and the emotional impact relocating has on a family.

Over her career, Kathy has worked in several customer related industries, including owning her own business while raising her 3 young children. Kathy approaches each new client with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm. The diversity of the industries that she worked in prepared her for the complexities of real estate transactions. Communication, listening to client needs and concerns, and patience are paramount to the success of Kathy. Her main goal is earning the trust from her clients in order to find them the perfect home, or achieve the highest dollar amount for their existing home in an expeditious manner. She has served in various leadership positions over the year. Kathy is passionate about putting her heart into everything she does. Her motto is:

She focuses on the intimate details being an effective negotiator, problem solver, and making her community a better place. When she isn't working, Kathy enjoys fly fishing, gardening, tennis, golf, skiing, hiking,walking the neighborhoods and volunteering in her community.
